Sonoco announces price change for uncoated recycled paperboard

Sonoco recently announced it is increasing prices for all grades of uncoated recycled paperboard (URB) in Canada and the United States.

Beginning February 18, the prices will go up by $50 per ton for all shipments.

In a statement released by the company, Sonoco said that it is increasing prices in response to the continuous increase in demand. This has resulted in extended order backlogs, and inflationary pressures on freight, energy, paper making chemicals, labour and other manufacturing costs.
